Eva-Maria Liimets is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Croatia.

Eva-Maria Liimets graduated from the University of Tartu in public administration and the Estonian Business School with a master’s degree in international business, and completed the international programme at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997 and has worked in the embassies in Rome and Washington as well as the Consulate General in New York as Consul General. From 2009 to 2014 Liimets was the director of the international organisations division and from 2017 to 2018, she worked on the European Union’s Baltic Sea strategy in the Ministry’s Department for European Affairs.
